Where were her grandparents during her difficult childhood? Why should she be obliged to visit them on her deathbed if she doesn't want to. Don't assume that because you have loving grand parents everybody else does too.

Maybe because her father abused her as a child, and she hasn't been in contact with any of them since her mother and her left as a child. If they haven't had any contact with Christina, why would they want something to do with her NOW? They obviously want something. Christina has every right not to have a relationship with them. That's why.

If there's a reason she isn't talking to them in the first place, I doubt she cares either way.
