It's really curious to see fans of Madonna , Kesha , Britney , Xtina try to use this CNN argument to punch Gaga , when this CNN stuff aply to all the pop stars in the market ( even legends like Cher , David bowie, Kiss )
I really understand the CNN point , but at the end of the day , people remember crazy stuff , like the swan dress Bjork use in the Oscar's is part of her career , that make her a worst singer?
She's a multi faceted artist! It's about music, wardrobe, imagery, videos, products it's about everything for gaga. She's just good at making her music speak through other means aswell and it never feels disconnected tbh. So **** this lady can take a seat.

I feel like this is less a of a jab at Gaga and more at the music industry. Gaga is just the quintessential artist for this situation, that's why they used her.
I agree with a lot of it. A real music artist should be focused on their music and not on weekly new social media outlets, fragrances, endorsements, etc. At times you forget she's even a singer.
But when major news sources like CNN keep dissecting and analyzing her like this (Lady Gaga: Artist of our Time or Fraud, You Tell Us!) I'm sure she likes it.
I think they're just stating what everyone has noticed about Gaga lately.
Gaga used costumes/outrageous videos to get the public's attention. Now 4 years down the road, she's STILL using it when she doesn't need to anymore. It's time to leave that aside and show the public that you're not just a freak of nature who strives attention through outfits and videos. Her fans see through the costumes and hair and videos now and acknowledged her talent but has the GP? No.
People don't understand that the costumes ARE Gaga but at the same time, Gaga doesn't need to keep pushing the boundaries. She's better than that now.
Gaga is an artist and she is a musician but she needs to put more thought into music and less in shock factor from the general public (Judas).
I was talking about Gaga on my final exam. Everybody knew Bad Romance, but not everybody knew about the Meat Dress. I mean, yeah, they all know her dresses are 'weird' but they all know her songs too.

yep, and that's why indie artists are better. They write about stuff from their heart, not what money tells them to. And they don't try to make people believe they are Gods, or that they are their Mother or Father --- LOL!!!
Oh shut up. A lot of indie artists and bands tend to sound exactly the same and write about the same things all the time. They are no different than pop artists. They just use "real" instruments so they get a pass.

Nothing she did during the BTW era was anything like she built herself up as being during TF/TFM eras, and that's why so many people didn't like it.
