A few days ago, I went to GameStop to look at a few things... I bought the Holiday Bundle Wii (without knowing that it could not play GameCube) and I just found out last week after having it for about 8 months. So my dad and I went up to the girl who worked there and started talking about Wiis. AND SHE SAID A NEW WII CALLED THE "WiiU" IS COMING OUT IN DECEMBER!!! However, it will not be able to play GameCube games...
duhhh the wiiU has been said to be coming for a while now. it looks like it will be really fun. has a different controller and different ways to play multiplayer games.
I'm sure they'll put some of the games on the Virtual Console. They said that their modern consoles support the generation before. And since 64 games were put on the Nintendo shop, hopefully GameCube games will get the same treatment.
Xbox 360 and PS3 support their respective previous generation games so...
There's no release date yet. Nintendo will be holding a press conference in September or August to announce the price and the release date. I doubt they would tell some random Gamestop it's going to be released in December.
