Alright, that's totally true. I get that, that's a fair answer. But, like... knowing who the Canadian Prime Minister is is not going to help me at all.

Because globalization us increasing at a rapid pace. You won't be competing for/keeping jobs with just other US citizens ,its transforming into a global market now. As a result, it will eventually trickle down to our everyday lives .
Also America isn't all knowing. If dabble a bit on other countries,it will be an enriching experience.

I can point out the negative in every country, and their positives.

That's very true. But I don't really like that "healthy concoction."
I think it always comes back to nationalism being paired with ignorance, which honestly seems to happen a lot in America.

Canadians take an interesting approach to diplomacy: They exploit American strength to allow themselves to care less about the world and more about the homeland. Very crafty, and it enables the amenities they enjoy.

Most of ya'll trying to shade the US haven't even been outside of your flop countries. You read a couple news articles and hear our news take up 90% of your TV time, and suddenly you think you know American life.
And the Americans in here saying they don't like the USA, oh ****ing please, you wouldn't last more than a year outside of this country trying to make a living anywhere else. Sit down and appreciate your country's opportunity.
And PLEASE cut the ******** with the education argument. I'm not trying to get points tonight with some of you deadbeat HS dropouts trying to come for America's education system. :kasjfdl

I think people single us out so much because we're such a large presence in the world. American movies, fashion, music is present in most foreign countries. We're shoved in everybody's face. Our negatives are more obvious and pointed out then those of smaller countries perhaps?

It certainly does quite often. You do have to consider both the benefits and detriments, though, and Americans seem to have collectively decided the benefits outweigh the downsides. Whether or not each individual agrees is a touchy matter on its own.

Yeah, that's similar to what TeamMinaj said, and I get it. That's really true. But some people were in here saying that Americans like didn't know who the Prime Minister of Canada was, and that's not fair. Like, those kind of facts do not need to matter to me.

Bye. I'm clearly more educated than you, I cackled about 4 times reading this post.
America's education system is a flop, no lies there. Loads of American adults can't even point the UK on a map. Did I lie?
I've traveled to lots of places, outside of my own, including Florida. I loved it. My point and opinion about America still stand and I won't change my mind any time soon. In fact, you just even proved it more.
Your post just screams hypocrisy and your opinion is beyond repetitive.

I agree with this somewhat. Now, there are some people who have lived here and seen negatives and that's what their judging their opinion of us on. That is fair. But then there are others who have never been here and judge us based solely on what they see on TV and the internet and blindly accept it as truth. Isn't that ignorance as well?

LOL at some of y'all trying the US.
It's an amazing country with many flaws, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it's the most powerful country in the world and very diverse with many freedoms and rights.
