MTV2 and MTV Hits are available on digital cable or satellite in most areas... so it costs more than regular cable, but you can still get them. MTV2 doesn't show very much music anymore anyway, so that's kind of a wash.

Perhaps if MTV thinks long blocks of music videos would turn away potential viewers, they could add in 15-30 minute blocks of music videos all day long between their shows. Have these segments hosted live by various VJs throughout the day.

Yes it's quite sad. That happened with Mexico's MTV as well. I remember back in '98 we used to have about 20 hours of music videos and the non-music programs actually had quality. Not just that, the music videos played were A MILLION times better back then. They actually used to play amazing artists such as Everlast, Save Ferris, Fastball, The Sundays, Beck, Garbage, Puff Daddy, Bran Van 3000, Notorious B.I.G, All Saints, The Cardigans among many many others, now what do we have? one hundred percent of manufactured pop **** such as Panda, Motel, Belinda, Porter, Tatu, Fergie etc.
We had several VJ's that helped make the channel better and sometimes I'd even watch a show only for the VJ. Now VJ's are a long lost memory, we only have ONE incredibly ****** and annoying VJ with no skills at all.

Oh well, at least MTV went down the toilet in the whole world, not just my country
