Hmm. If Duets is up in the air for season 2 and not a definite no, I bet they'll go with it. With major revamping. It actually stayed steady the last few weeks so it had a loyal fanbase, albeit a small one. I really think they need Kelly though..she's the one most people were tuning in for. The poll's showed it.

NO. You see here was the problem with "Duets" getting low viewers....#1 it was in Summer, #2, THERE WAS NO PROMOTION FOR THE SHOW. Other than GMA, NIghtline, & Robin Thicke mentioning the show at the Billboards, that was it. Nobody went to talk shows, nobody performed, there was no actual promo.

This is why I think they'll go with a second season. The first season of most any reality shows are ALWAYS low budget and small. With the exception of X Factor last year, because Simon Cowell is such a force who already proved himself with Idol. ABC had to test it out, work through the kinks and hope for the best. They put a lot of money into promoting the show's debut, but as you said there was next to nothing after that. It's a catch 22. In order to gain more viewers/ratings, you need to promote. But without the viewers/ratings, there's not much advertisement revenue to warrant spending so much on promotion. But I think since there is a loyal fanbase, they could justify spending more to promote it because I think the viewers will ultimately come in for it if they can just revamp it and make it more exciting and viewer involved. But if they plan to do nothing as far as changes go, then a second season wouldn't be worth it. That's all just my opinion though.
Duets would not be the same without Kelly Clarkson. She made that show so fun to watch and the other judges (with exception of Jennifer nettles) were blah and boring.

Thou shall not shade Robin Thicke...That fireball and Kelly have to stay. The rest can go back to being one hit wonders.

As I said previously, it's make it or break it time for Dark Side, y'all. Make sure you use all your votes on the VH1 Countdown. If they show the full video, it'll likely have a big jump, maybe into the top 25 on iTunes, because none of the songs directly above DS will get a bump (they're not even on the VH1 chart). SO VOTE Y'ALL to save Dark Side.
OK so the Stronger dance is pretty lame, but seeing the way Kelly interacts with her fans is so funny!! I love how she called the girl "Jean Jacket" and was yelling in that girl's face because she was excited, and the way she imitated "Sam Smith."
