This isn't surprising because the tour is still going in full force till early next year but at the same time it's incredibly stupid to pass up on the holiday sales. Over the past half-decade, the holiday season is literally the only time when album sales are semi decent. Aside from 21, which is an anomaly in every sense of the word, I can't remember the last 1st quarter smash that wasn't a debut/breakthrough.
She probably should've kept her mouth completely shut about new music till early next year and just kept on touring, and then announced everything when the tour ended. This "era" is going to be even messier than BTW, lol.
If the album is really coming in 2013, this is BTW all over again. No one needs this. Revealing the title in September and releasing the actual album in spring 2013 - complete nonsense. I thought they've learned from BTW. The only thing that could change things is releasing the first single this year. Still...
