The WA performance was great. She was completely on key through the entire song. She just has this slightly annoying way of singing now that she thinks makes her sound vulnerable but makes her sound lazy instead. I can't stand it either. It was still amazing though. Great control.

I give up. I don't understand what is so wrong with saying that she was not pitch perfect during her cover. It's nothing but the truth.

I agree. Turning the keys down on a song isn't always a good thing. It's the same thing with the Fun. cover. Vocals are good, although she was indeed pitchy in wide awake, but the performance felt off and lazy as JC said.

If she was off pitch I would admit it. I always admit when Kelly ****s up, especially on tour. She sounded completely on key to me though. Its just that annoying ****ing breathing/sighing ******** that makes it sound messy.
Plus this song has alot of talking-singing and Kelly has never been good at that anyway tbh.

She didn't sound out of tune at all
But she was kinda breathing heavy and it was annoying..

I wish she would stop picking awful songs to cover though, WAY and WA We should start spamming her on request night with better choices.

She just has to work on WAY's vocals a little more. It has the potential to be epic. She needs to throw in some belts there, tbh.
Am I supposed to laugh at your blatant dig? And don't come for my music capabilities. I've had more training than you'll ever experience for the rest of your life. This is said factually, not pretentiously.

I'll give you that. She is horrible at talk singing. I remember her drunken Ke$ha karaoke. It was decent but then you get to the bridge, which is where she starts to struggle.

The WA cover was great in the sense that it's better than any live performance Katy has ever done for that song. I don't think it was pitchy either, but it did sound like Kelly barely even learned the song. She got some of the melody and lyrics wrong, and I don't think it was just normal forgetful Kelly, she just didn't learn the song well enough. You could tell she wasn't sure whether to improvise or not a lot of the time.

I think they were shading Katy though
Also, that last statement wasn't said 'factually' nor 'pretentiously', it was starkly presumptuous though

I'm not really here for the WAY cover. It doesn't sound fit for a female voice.

Anyways, I can totally be here for her to mashup WAY and STIUTK. WAY really is uneventful melodically and would be better if given the That I Would Be Good/Use Somebody treatment.

Carrie Underwood, Blown Away (13,000, -5%, 644,000) (#26 Billboard 200)
Wait, I thought Carrie was the Queen of album sales? Her album is much newer but is barely selling higher than Kelly's. Maybe if DS does well, Stronger can climb back above BA...

Eh, in the end she'll still sell more than Stronger. Though Kelly has a shot at reaching 1m first.

Usually Carrie releases 4th quarter and gets those sales. So this climb is abnormally slow for her. But the BA video will help and once that song blows up it'll propel the album more. As JP said, Carrie will most likely outsell Kelly in the end but Kelly could reach 1m first. It's all good though, Carrie is a country artist. She should sell more.
