Yes, Heidi was likeable and for a group that was known for bitching and fighting and bullying a member out of the group that was great. She was young, pretty and genuinely nice. Of course the music played a big part, I didn't say it didn't but they wouldn't be where they got to without her. What does her level of fame have to do with what I said?

Mutya was very well liked and she had high profile, credible backing from the likes of George Michael and Amy Winehouse. She had a number 2 single and her album went Gold..It could've been much worse. Anyway, just because you flop, it doesn't mean you're hated. If Heidi ever went solo she would flop seeing as she has no substance. Clearly she knows that though, otherwise she wouldn't still be in the shambles that is the current Sugababes lineup.
You said that the public 'bought into' the Sugababes because of Heidi which is just ridiculous, the public knew nothing about Heidi when she joined. Whether she was 'genuinely nice' is irrelevant. The public didn't hear Freak Like Me and think 'oh that blonde girl sounds nice, I'll buy this'.
It was the music that made Sugababe v.2 successful, not Heidi. Zzz.
