Agreed, but who cares about passing a film soundtrack?

The longest any artist has ever spent in the top ten is 84 weeks. If she gets to 85 weeks, that is the record for any artist (I agree with you, it's a "maybe" for that one - another 12 weeks in the top ten is not a given...)

And it's worth pointing out: the three artist albums above her (Born In The USA, Thriller, Hysteria) all had seven singles released from them to give constant promo over 18 months.

21 has had a mere four singles (only two of which had a music video) and Adele has been out of the public eye for many months. Yet the album just keeps on selling.

Diamond in the US represents the last important milestone IMO for what is a classic album....So who cares about Diamond certification in the US? I do for one...., as do many other Adele fans ..and I dear say most artists would think its a very big deal....especially since so few of them are able to achieve it these days...

Do you guys realize, that this is history in the making?
