Since we have one for the songwriters, I thought we might as well have one for producers. Present yourself, your style and if you want, add some of your work!

I'm a songwritter and though I have never produced a song before, I'm planning on starting the music production career at uni this semester (I have already majored in accountancy and I'm three years shy of majoring in law).

I really want to learn more about it .

I sometimes produce some of my covers / originals if I wanted more instruments .. but nothing professional .

I dabbled in it but now i'm a writer and upcoming singer so I'm looking for producers

Wow! So all of your songs are produced in nothing but FL Studio 9 then? No other programs? That's impressive. I've messed around with FL Studio, but I couldn't get the hang of it. And there were no helpful tutorials.

Aww well , you can buy a program and a Midi-keyboard and then learn from the internet .

It would be easier also if you played Piano .

My style is definitely electro/chiptune mixed with pop/dance sounds. I really take influences from Timbaland and Darkchild with beats, Yasutaka Nakata (Japanese producer for Kyarypamyupamyu, Perfume & capsule) for sounds/melodies, and different styles from other countries for my awkward sounds. I'm very eclectic, and usually my sounds is different, yet similar in every song.

i produce. i love making instrumentals, but lately i've been doing remixes and fan-stuff material. i'm taking a break from producing original content but whenever i get inspired by a certain sound i go on a spree of like 5 instrumentals.

i don't have a specific genre i want to stay in, cause i want to expand on my style, but my best work has been my dance and pop music. i don't know why, it's just my forte is formulaic songs. i'm still trying to experiment.

my soundcloud has gone through major change, i've had to delete a lot of stuff cause i don't have the premium account, which means i have a limit to how many songs i can have uploaded.

I would produce if I knew how. I've tried using FL Studio and Ableton and stuff but I'm too stupid to figure it out There's no helpful tutorials. It sucks cause lots of the time I know what I want to do with a song but it just doesn't work.

use MixCraft and GarageBand. they're much easier to use imo. in MixCraft you just go to "Sound"-"Add Instrument Clip" and you'll be able to make your own notes and electronic synths. the loops are awesome as well.

I have my own MIDI keyboard and a studio Microphone. I use Logic as my DAW since Ableton is wayyy to confusing for me. I've self taught myself for a while, and I made this. Probably the best thing I've made so far after getting the hang of it.
