1 year since terrorist attacks in Norway
Today marks 1 year since the horrible massacre on Utøya and bombing in Oslo happened.
The worst happening in Norway since World War 2nd.
The Norwegian Prime Minister, other memembers of the government, the King, Queen, Prince and Princess of Norway were all gathered in Oslo for a ceremony commemorating the 77 victims. Most of the victims where young people that had their whole life in front of them. Something the terrorist took away from them.
"If one man can show so much hate, just think of how much love we all can create"
- Jens Stoltenberg,Norwegian Prime Minister
Let's all take a moment to pray for the families that lost someone they loved last year

This was and still is incredibly terrible... The majority of the victims was so young...
I really hope that Breivik gets what he deserves..

There where some muslim kids on the island as well, but most of them were probably Norwegian. They main reason they were on the island was cause of politics, so religion isn't something they really care about in that case : )

OH! OKAY
this what i came across:-
But guessing Muslim was quickly quashed when police arrested Anders Behring Breivik—a blonde-haired, blue-eyed, Norwegian nationalist, who confessed to the murders, which he deemed a “necessary” part of his European Christian conservative revolution to combat what he considered the increasing threat of Muslim domination in Europe.
another one was
Oslo experienced a bomb attack motivated by anticommunism, fascism and racism and a calculated massacre of young people occurred at a summer camp of the Norwegian “Workers' Youth League”, which had been justified by Christian fundamentalism.

This shocked me big time.
It's weird how the mass shooting in Colorado seems more relevant than this to the international media. This incident went almost unnoticed in North America.

You're totally right. He's a nationalist who thinks his actions were necessary - a way of preventing "sneak Islamization". It should be noted that Norway really isn't that diverse, culturally, especially compared to, say, the UK or US. You do find your share of foreigners, yes (the biggest concentrations being in urban cities such as Oslo), but Breivik is just......... delusional

It's very hard... And the fact that it happened in Scandinavia made it even more unbelieveble.. I'm glad that Helle Thorning, (our prime minister in Denmark) took the time to visit Norway today

He did it of very many reasons, so yes, I guess all those thing you mentioned are really true as well. I don't know 100% about it even though it was all over the news, It has been all over Norwegian media for like 1 year.

Such an awful tragedy to happen, i remember our school in England having a minute's silence to respect the victims of the massacre near the time it happened. Really hope the victims' friends and family are bearing up okay at such a sad time

They've been airing the ceremony on TV all day. I saw some of it and it was just so sad. I tried to keep up with the concert at work tonight, it was beautiful.
I'm really ****ing upset with our prime minister though and I'm glad people are hating on him because he should have been there! A ****ing embarrassment to our country. Norway is so close to us, they're like our own people, yet he couldn't get his ****ing ass over there. A MESS.
