Yeah, I think you're just looking too into it.
Trippy is good, though. Trippy is fun and electric. Energetic and exciting. Have you ever tripped, gorl? Pop some mushrooms and enjoy the ride. Trippy is exactly what we need after the depressing, albeit good, album that was Born This Way. As for depends, well, that just means that obviously not everyone will like it.
Edit: I would define Bad Romance, Scheisse, and Heavy Metal Lover as "trippy".
