And I predict his best album will be at his late 20s/early 30s.

Yeah unless your Lenny Kravitz its pretty hard to perfect your playing on all instruments. Still its really good that he plays all those instruments because it guarantees that if his career as a performer doesn't work out that he will always have an opportunity to be a producer for other people or be someone who plays in a band for someone else.

There's this guy called Stephen who's just adorable and extremely nice in every way. Aww. I was enchanted to meet him, so badly so now I'm playing Swift songs. Including Hey Stephen. Sorry for this soppy info spread.
Anyway, it was a blast and the course seems very, really, extremely good. I'm tired now.
And I read about the UK 7 tracks, aww. I want more info.
Glad for Aldean topping iTunes, No Doubt, doing well.
Happy Ramadan, Bahjat!
Anyway, I'm back and starting in a few months. Ooh, I'm so excited - made new friends and all. Sorry for turning back into a thirteen year old confession.
|
Glad to hear you had fun!
Now if only we could get the damn announcement/info about the new album already!

I will never take away the king title from Johnny Cash. I think people like Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, Charlie Pride, Chet Atkins etc deserve honorable mentions but Johnny will always be #1.
For women I think of Dolly as the queen but there are so many others you could give that too. Like Kitty Wells(RIP), Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, etc.
I know all the younger folks like to pass around the queen and king title loosely but I'll always think of the guys and girls who paved the way as the true king and queens. Of course I think your referring to them climbing to the top of the most respected artists in the genre and that very well could happen but I'm leaning more toward David Nail or Eric Church getting that king title over Hunter Hayes

I am a big fan of her CSI episode and she was funny in Valentine's Day, but her acting wasn't great in VD. Didn't see the Lorax so i can't judge her voice actress skills

The last part.
Well, speaking of Hunter: He's better than Taylor musically, but for the lyrics, Taylor is far more superior.

Well, the words King & Queen are thrown away for everything they like by today's kids, especially at ATRL. Just like how everyone call a moderately good performance as great. And calling Pop-tarts as legends.
And I agreed with how you ranked those greats.

Everything will develop by time hopefully and he'll do it .
And she did ? I didn't know that to the label there or something? I have no idea what '' present '' meant there ..

Agreed. I thought she did well on CSI. VD was atrocious all around imo but she was funny. Don't know how she did with her voice work in The Lorax. I don't think she has really done enough acting to really judge.

I was hoping to follow the same pattern as before but looks we are still in the dark about LP4.
I was thinking that maybe she would announce something at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday. I'd rather she didn't do it there, but it was a thought. Someone also pointed out that it'd be exactly 13 days since her "stuff is about happen" post on Facebook. You know Taylor...
I'd say it's a possibility.
What do you think!?
|
I don't think she'd announce the specifics (album title, single title, release dates, etc), but there is no way that she'll manage to walk the carpet without the interviewers asking about the album. It's up to her how much info she wants to divulge, but I can't see her announcing everything on a red carpet or while accepting an award.

Her friend Claire has a nice last name. It sounds like Kiss Linger.

Billboard 200/Catalog Albums Chart Update - July 28, 2012
Big Country: The Zac Brown Band enters the Billboard 200 at #1 with "Uncaged", their second #1 album, and at the same time score their first #1 on the Catalog chart as "The Foundation" jumps two spots. It also rockets all the way to #19 on the main chart, just ten positions below its #9 peak.
This is the 88th week in the top 40 albums for "The Foundation"; only five albums released last decade have rung up more weeks in the top 40, led by Taylor Swift's debut album at 126 weeks. Another country artist, Shania Twain, had the longest-running album released in the 1990s; "Come On Over" spent 127 weeks in the top 40 albums, and Garth Brooks' "No Fences" was a close second with 126 weeks. Yet another country artist, Jason Aldean, is the current leader for the 2010s with "My Kinda Party", also at 88 weeks; Adele will have something to say about that in the long run.
"The Foundation" spends its 13th week at #1 on the Country Catalog Albums chart. The top seventeen albums on the Country Catalog chart also chart on the main Catalog chart this week, as all of the new entries are country-related titles.
Most Weeks In The Top 40 Albums - 2000s Decade Releases:
1. "Taylor Swift", Taylor Swift (2006, 126 weeks, Peak #5) 2. "All The Right Reasons", Nickelback (2005, 122 weeks, Peak #1)
3. "The Fame", Lady Gaga (2008, 102 weeks, Peak #2)
