It has been a rumor for quite a while now, but it's finally confirmed. Aerosmith and Carrie Underwood duet on new Aerosmith album, Music From Another Dimension. No official date, but it is supposed to come out in November.

Mix 104.1 Music Director Mike Mullaney was backstage with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith at the band’s concert last night at the TD Garden. Tyler gave him a sneak preview of the band’s new album Music From Another Dimension with samples of each track, and Mullaney was very impressed with what he heard.
He heard a handful of standout ballads, which he believes you will hear on Mix 104.1 soon. One of the tracks contains a duet with Tyler and Carrie Underwood, and another features Tyler on piano, which he doesn’t do often but does “very well.”

BTW, the insider told us that the duet is likely going to be the 3rd single. Since the lead single is almost peaking and there will be a 2nd single, Closer will probably be released by fall/winter.
I am the AeroFANatic. The song is "Closer." Aerosmith most likely will be releasing "What Could Have Been Love" and "Another Last Goodbye" first, then Closer. So most likely it's single is planned on coming out around Jan/Feb timeframe. Promotion on Idol, Grammys maybe, etc
But of course, the album comes out in Nov, so we'll all first hear it then!
