How can someone say MKIA is a better song and video? The color palette is absolutely horrendous. The editing is choppy because it's literally just 2 "locations". So you get to a point where there's just nothing to cut to. And Kelly looks the most unflattering. Her hair looks terrible. I like the song, because it's Kelly and I can't really hate any of her singles, but it's so beyond basic.
But how can it be a better video, TEOG isn't even a music video, sorry.
I've never seen such commercial, clearly made a huge impact.

And it was just a commercial for Google Chrome...which coincidentally has more views than the Toyota commercial and a lot of Kelly's MVs. Get into her flawless nails, body and outfit.
Since when does wearing Versace in a video make you an artist? Gaga's videos are great but TEOG bored me.
Since when does selective reading make you so informed? I never said it makes an artist. I just said it was more artistic. And don't pretend Versace is not more artistic than that horrid dress Kelly was wearing. If I remember correctly, MANY of you hated the dress. Let's not back pedal. Artistry in a MV is not just about the music, it's about the outfits, the theme, the production, etc...and GaGa has def the edge on Kelly in the outfit department.
Since when do viewcounts matter as well? Maybe 5 years ago it was a good representation, but nowadays views =/ how many people who have watched the video.
When a person like GaGa/Bieber puts out a music video, their 13 year old fans just do that loop video thing because apparently having a lot of views means you're just swell!
Wasn't that the receipt half of you were holding in front of my face when I said I didn't like the Dark Side video when it first came out? Wasn't the increase of view count what everyone kept updating constantly in base to show that the song was gonna get really big? Wasn't the view count also really important to update when WDKY was the single?
Why are we trashing TEOG? I actually love that Gaga kept it simple for once, especially in the wake of C. Clemens's death. The fact that some of you can't find the artistry in simplicity The song is a celebration of life and joy, and the MV reflected that.
I agree with Edge, MKIA > DS > WDKY (MV-wise), though MKIA doesn't lead by much.
People may dislike Dark Side, but to compare it to a video which was ridiculed and is considered one of the worst music videos in recent years is just stupid.
Basically. I'm not calling Dark Side an incredible video by any means but TEOG video was a disaster. At least Dark Side had a meaning.

MKIA video ***** on TEOG too. Both DS and MKIA do. TEOG music video had no meaning. It was clearly a rushed last minute put together mess that was an utter embarrassment for Gaga and her team. The Dark Side video at least was well received by most critics and bloggers.
The only thing TEOG has on DS is that is was filmed with a real camera.
It's also the superior song and will most likely be the higher peaking song. I know I said I can see Dark Side going top 10 but I have a hard time seeing it hit #3.

Thank you. Sometimes, less is more and after coming off of BTW and Judas, two of the most controversial videos released in that time frame, GaGa caused even more of an uproar by being so simplistic. She's a very smart woman.

Kelly isn't one of those artists. Did you hear about any Kelly stans making websites and putting the video on loop programmes etc... ? You have to think about how different Kelly's fanbase is compared to GaGa's.
Did I say that Kelly was the one doing that? I said that the rapid view count increases were what the Kelly stans were excited about and were trying to shove them in my face saying DS was a smash and was gonna quickly catch on.
