What's the tea on oops...and in the zone (I know this one but like to hear others' perspective). Also, circus and femme fatale...is it true that they were originally going for the 90s vibe...he about to lose me, trouble for me, up n down, seal it with a kiss, big fat bass without autotune?

What I know from "Oops" is that one of her co-written songs made the final cut, but besides that she wasn't very involved with the album, the songs were prepared while she was on tour, and then she basically went to the studio and recorded it, then her label called her and told her the album was ready. She was heavily marketed and manufactured with little input during her first 2 albums, then she stated she wanted to be more involved in her music and that she couldn't picture herself making a "Bay one more time part 3", thats the way her 3d album came "Britney" which she was more involved in the writing of it.
For "In the zone" she was given full and free control over the album, it was her most experimental experience since she meet with a bunch of producers, she rejected "daft punk" and "william orbit". She co-wrote most of the song while she was touring, she also recorded with "Linda Perry" but the song didn't make the cut, and Fred Durst penned a trip hop song for the album, that was later scrapped out because of some Media rumors about a relashionship between both of them. Britney co-wrote nearly every song on the album, and was the arranger of 2 tracks: "me against the music" and " the hook up".
For "Circus" i just don't know too much, I know that she rejected songs like "when I grow up", and she rejected "Telephone" by Lady Gaga, and generally the album was intended to be a comeback for her to the music, so the composition of the album is very clean, commercial, and light-hearted. And apparently britney played piano on one track of the album, but I'm not too sure
For "Femme fatale" i think the 90s sound things was just a rumor to be honest, but I do think her label ruined her album... Apparently the album was going to be very risky, dark and unusual full of songs like "trouble for me", "he about to lose me", "hold it against me", "criminal", "inside out" and stuff like that... But at the last minute her label called will.i.am and kesha to add some generic tunes on the album and put some of the good tracks as bonus tracks or left them out of the tracklist, and I think that changed the whole vibe of the album, and i think britney wasn't happy about it, I think britney didn't feel that album that much.
