I thought Everyone knew she was done when she booked out her next 6 months for her world tour.

Why are people surprised.? The clue was when she booked the world tour.

Even if Forbes was "lied" to by her agents/managers, what proof do you have that they are lying?

Forbes is a very reliable source and they do their research as well as they can, they're not just going to rely on one source, they're going to get many in order to provide the most accurate numbers.

I had a feeling they were let go. I never believed two judges would all of a sudden want to focus on their music careers/brand at the same time while being employed on the same danm show.

What are you saying? Jen has been debating for a really long time though, even last season.

Nobody really thought she was going to come back for another season after her first, but she did. This year with the tour and stuff, which she has been talking about during "Idol", we had a strong feeling she wasn't going to return. Therefore, it wasn't all of a sudden.

The people at Fox already knew about her ordeal, not sure about Steven though.

so she got greedy and wanted more.

It will be good to have new judges! Let's get rid of Randy Jackson who has been on the judging panel for way too long and does not bring anything of value.

American Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe admitted to Ryan Seacrest Monday morning that he is “really upset” about the recent departures of judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, who announced they were leaving TV’s top-rated program late last week.

“I spoke to Jennifer last Friday. She called me just after she spoke to you, and I have to respect both Jennifer and Steven’s decisions,” he said Monday on On Air With Ryan Seacrest. “They’ve got a much bigger career than just sitting judging Idol. They’re both very talented people, and you have to respect their decision to carry on and do what they were doing before Idol. It breaks my heart, because I love them both dearly.”

With Lopez and Tyler now officially out, Lythgoe also admitted that replacing their seats on the judges’ table is going to be “tough.”



“At the end of the day, I think what we’ve seriously got to talk about is just using people for a year,” he said. “Because if we do want these big stars, and we do, you cannot take them away from what they do. That’s depriving the public of a star for a start, but also earning a lot of money.”
