As someone said earlier, Idol is much more successful than either other shows. While Idol winners may not be as successful as in years past, they are still way more successful than winners of the Voice or X Factor.

I also need them to end the unnecessary duets. Why make the show run for an hour and a half or two hours to make them sing half dozen duets AND their solo performances? Not only it's boring as hell but it downgrades the quality of the performances.

2-3 seasons ago contestants had to worry about a song per week, or two AT MOST if they were already top 3 or top 4. Last season they had 3 songs per week and it was an absolute mess, people forget they have to record the studio versions of each of those songs, shoot the FORD commercial, go to photoshoots and give some interviews. No wonder last season no one had a flawless run.
