I love to read and I love write. Music, stories...I love writing them. But lately, nobody notices anything I do. They never have and I just feel like its a waste of time. I love doing it...I kind of want my works of writing to go somewhere but if no one pays me any attention I just feel like there's no point in doing it. Am I wrong for feeling this way? I just wish someone would notice the talent I have...that's the only thing I can do really...but nobody pays me any mind and everybody flocks over my fashion designer/drawer boyfriend (not really a designer but wants to become one) and just pays me no attention. I feel like I'm in his shadow and no matter what I do I always get overlooked when it comes to him.

I've gone through things like this (like writing) and I've learned to realize to do whatever I love regardless if nobody notices. Whatever makes you happy, honestly.

Maybe you should try to flaunt the fact that you write/read more often.

...but like, I let people know what I do. I even suggest they read it. But like, nobody has the time or the patience. My own boyfriend won't even read my stuff...says its too many words and that reading makes his head hurt. And I get called a lame and a nerd for reading and writing a lot. I'm always being compared to him and always in his shadow. People don't even know me...they only call me "that drawing boy's boyfriend"

I'm stuck in his shadow and I try to get out of it but every time I'm just thrown back in. People are so rude and immature these days.

Wait.. your BF doesn't read/acknowledge what you like to do, creatively?

I don't like reading either, so I have my friend read to me.

Maybe you could ask to read your stories and things to him.

He doesn't call you a nerd and lame and stuff, right?
