Yes. We have MTV Hits here in Australia and it's probably the best music channel out there. The regular MTV channel only plays music videos in the early morning time-slot, or sometimes in between shows. Other than that, it's trashy. There is also Channel [V] though.

That's what I watch in my dorm in college (they don't carry Hits). And they play a lot of indie songs.

No because Dish won't have it, but I hope they have it soon.

MTV Hits is available in America,but only in select markets with Digital Cable

My cheap school only has MTVU in the Cafeteria

I've had Time Warner since 2005 and they've had it the whole time.

Anyways, I used to watch it all the time but I stopped for a while. Now I just browse occasionally.
