Well then you're obviously not the stan I thought you were. Kelly has shown us she can do ALL of that if she wants, and I believe that with a flip of a switch, Kelly could come for that number one pop girl spot IF SHE TRULY WANTED IT.
If she wants to have background dancers and dance with them, she can (that Miss Independent performance on Idol is proof of that).
If she wants to have expensive pyrotechnics and lighting, she can. She could've taken everything a step higher after the Hazel Eyes tour. She has the influence and the power to demand it.
If she wanted to ***** out the #1 spot on Billboard, she wouldn't have said no to working with Dr. Luke or Max Martin, who WANTED to work with her. She would have followed the dance trend and released surefire smashes. She would've featured a rapper, or worked with popular DJs like Guetta, or followed the precise formula that today the other pop girls continue to replicate to gain that next hit.
The point is, she doesn't want to. She just wants it to be about the music. To write music that she truly feels, to not be forced to dress or look a certain way. IMO, screw anyone who thinks that means Kelly can't perform. She's proven she can step up to the plate. Unlike Rihanna, Kelly wants to also live a healthy, balanced life while having this career, so good for her for doing that in the way she knows how.
If she wanted to manufacture herself into that queen bee, she could do it.
Step off before we revoke your stan card permanently. I don't care how many posts you have. Besides, half of them are probably dissing Kelly
