I'm glad some of the songs I don't like and can't remember the lyrics are out. But wth is with Just The Way You Are? Such a good song. And Cleopatra is not out yet?

I realize Kelly was coming off one of the biggest eras ever. MD was also met with TONS of public criticism in the media before it was even released. Why would people buy it when everyone was trashing it before it was even released? And, given how huge Ri is, it's sad that she doesn't have an iconic album like that. That was my whole point in the Ri thread when I posted that and said quality >>> quantity.

But how are you gonna pit Kelly against an international artist who releases an album every year to Kelly's two? It's understandable that people are over saturated with Rihanna and don't even know when she's released a new album. Hell, if I wasn't a stan, I would not have known that WFL was from a new album. But Kelly? She releases like every two years if she's feeling excited and people should be FIENDING for new music and yet...sales are so lackluster. And let's not talk about TTT vs Stronger cuz it was basically released around the same time and TTT sales are higher with higher selling singles.

TTT hasn't sold that much more than Stronger given Rih's star power and 10+ week #1 single, WFL. She's only about 60k ahead of Kelly. And she's had what? 5 singles already and some epic music videos? Not to mention her massive Urban appeal that catapults her ahead of most every other pop star. She should be at least platinum by now. Kelly had a mediocre first single and a monstrous second. That's really it so far. DS is still climbing. I'm not saying Kelly is bigger than Rih. At ALL. In the US or WW. Kelly is just Kelly and she'll never be the biggest star because she has no desire to be. And I'm fine with that. I'm just happy for her success when she does find it.

Step off. Some artists have both sales and talent and Rihanna and Beyonce are proof of that. While Kelly has a tremendous voice and is the best vocalist of this generation, walking around the stage and yelling 'Jump!' does not equate into an exciting performance, which is why Kelly will always be a singer and not a performer.
