Yeah those don't stand a chance. It's amazing how Adele came from being unknown to this worldwide superstar which nobody expected. She didn't even try, all she did was sit in a chair and sing.

The majority of The Fame's sales come from the TFM deluxe edition though... And either way teh poll lists it as The Fame (Monster), meaning both.

The TF+TFM era as the poll indicates, and as is appropriate given the marketing of the albums and the fact that the single releases overlapped, does touch and even pass 21.
I had a list like yours once but I'm to lazy to redo it.

You completely missed the point of my post but I'll try your game anyway.
No, but it did have a tour gross of $227 million, a much larger worldwide singles presence, more well known and widespread music videos and performances. Lady Gaga, in her peak, was the more sought after and generally bigger star (the receipts are in from her social media presence, touring numbers, google charts, singles success, video success, media attention). This is to be expected though because Adele doesn't seem to care to actually try at these things. She had phenomenal album sales but really, Lady Gaga has won on literally every other front for her era (and I would think her album sales are among the best of this century as well).
That all in before I voted for 21. Which might have been a mistake.

This proves that 21 is even better. One album that sold way more and brought in huge records you could only dream of having. Plus impact & acclaim and Grammy & Billboard sweep . >>>>>>>>>> TFM. And it's not about how big the list is. It's about what's in that list. And i'm more than sure Adele's records eat up anything you would put together.

Oh? They'd "eat up anything I would put together"?
When did Adele have six consecutive pop radio #1s?
When did Adele have two songs in the Year-end top 4?
When did Adele have the (temporarily) most watched music video of all time or win 8 VMAs? Or set a record for # of nominations?
When did Adele have six top fives and a #6?
When did Adele have a 78 on Metacritic?
When did Adele have a 99% sold out, $227 million grossing tour?
All Adele has on Gaga is albums success; many or most of her awards from organizations like Billboard stem from that. And don't say she has RITD; it was a big hit, but not as big worldwide as "Poker Face" or "Bad Romance".

Cool. But what is that supposed to prove to me? I know those things already, that's why I voted for 21. It is still far from a run away win for Adele (who is about tied with Gaga in the poll) and you're totally discrediting the monstrous TF/TFM era based on some impressive chart records and album sales. My argument is not that Gaga's era was bigger; it was that it actually dares to rival 21. So your response is pretty irrelevant and disappointing to say the very least.
Nearly half of the people in the poll voted for The Fame (Monster). Instead of running around trying to clock people to prove they're delusional (or whatever it is you're hoping to accomplish), you should probably sit back and think about why they're voting for it. Because it isn't so hard to see. Bye now.

These stats are nice and all. But still nothing compared to what B94 posted. And it's funny how monsters always throw the "touring" card. Like Gaga and Adele are the same type of performers

1. Go look at those things he posted. How much of that relates to the album rather than any other aspect of the era? Probably 90%.
2. Any performer with demand can tour, not just traditional pop stars. And yet Adele did not. (Not that there wouldn't be good demand)

I can easily answer this. Gaga is winning for 2 reasons
1. This site is full of mosnters. But that's okay. they can give as many biased votes to their fave as they want, we all have done it at least once, right?
2. The General public on here doesn't like Adele, thinks shes overrated, sick of her etc...Dunno why (might be jealousy?). So they are going to vote against her in any poll.

These stats are nice and all. But still nothing compared to what B94 posted. And it's funny how monsters always throw the "touring" card. Like Gaga and Adele are the same type of performers

And to be honest. I really don't find the MB touring receipts anything special for the simple fact that it took Gaga 201 shows to get that.

This argument is rather old. The reason for the show count is that there was demand for it. Had she done less shows and smaller venues it would still have the same gross - people aren't going to her concert just because it's in a small venue or on a second or third date in the area. They would have purchased tickets just as easily had she played stadiums rather than arenas.

They're always resorting to the polls excuse. They consist of half this site . Of course Gaga is going to win most of the polls, and they can have it. Facts are facts, and that's just the way it is.
