I know a lot of you will be shocked that this isn't #1! I may have even (devilishly) lead some of you to believe that it would be. For playing tricks like that, I'm sorry But I do love this song though. The last single released from On a Mission, it only peaked at #128 in the UK, which is absurd. This song is one of the absolute best in this rate and on that album. The verses are so quick and exhilarating, with beautiful melodies that are so hooky. The chorus is an extreme change-up, and a welcome surprise.

With this elimination, all four girls have one song left in the finale!

This song was love at first listen! When I was looking up all the artists before this rate began, this song made me think of Charli as a "weird Marina." Judging by the youtube comments on this video, I wasn't the only one who thought of this comparison! Yes, this song is very weird Marina, but Charli also has her own distinctive sound from Marina. This song has way more hooks than any song on Marina's new album. I mean, the hooks just keep coming with this one! I'm still a bit iffy on the lyrics, but I can overlook that when we have such an absolute JAM on our hands Congrats Charli, you did well!

An early favorite to be the #1, "Lights" comes up just short at #3. This song is, so far, the most successful song in this rate in America. It's reached #5 on the Hot 100, while it really didn't do anything on the British charts. The song combines Ellie's light, airy vocals with a dark instrumental (not Charli-dark, but "dark" by US pop radio standards). The pretty synthy stuff that begins the song is gorgeous. I definitely think this is a jam, and I gave it a 9.5. It just didn't have that extra something to warrant a 10 from me. Congrats, Ellie!

I can't believe this flopped in the UK though. I always assumed it smashed in Europe and then its popularity there carried it over to the US. But a #49 peak?

Why the **** is Shark in the Water so high? It's good, but not Top 2 good. I guess nobody cared enough about VV to sabotage.
