A VERY GOOD YEAR: As tipped by Chart Beat reader Brian C. Cole in last week's "Ask Billboard" Q&A column, LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem," featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock, manages a feat that only one other song in the Billboard Hot 100's 54-year history previously had.
As it rebounds 50-49 in its 68th week, "Party" becomes the second title to grace the Hot 100 a year after reaching No. 1. It began a six-week reign the week of July 16, 2011. (This week's charts are dated July 21, 2012.) The first such long-lasting topper? The Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling," which rose to No. 1 on July 11, 2009, and remained charted through July 17, 2010.
"Party" additionally extends its record for the slowest fall from No. 1. Its 48-week decline is four weeks longer than the previous mark of 44 frames established by Savage Garden's "Truly, Madly, Deeply" in 1998.
"Party" is now one week from tying LeAnn Rimes' "How Do I Live" (69 weeks, 1997-98) for the second-longest stay in the Hot 100's archives. Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" leads with a 76-week run in 2008-09.

I heard "Whistle" last night and tried to pay some attention... what exactly do the lyrics mean? It sounds like such an innocent song but the lyrics...

Top 10 for sure (Whistle).. Don't know if it's doing good on Streaming
Predicting at least 8 weeks for Call Me Maybe, 2nd biggest single of the year..
