Mostly reductive. She's now doing the same thing over and over while only getting older and older. Where is the growth that she showed with Ray Of Light and American Life? I don't think it's empowering to desperately cling to your youth. It's more empowering to age gracefully. This whole era to me looks like a mid-life crisis.
She's showing that you can embrace your sexuality no matter what your age is.
And to all of those saying that she should act her age because that's the social norm, i have two words for you **** off.
Imagine ff African American people had accepted the way people treated them back in the 60s, that was the social norm.
Imagine if women had never pushed the boundaries that stopped them from having the same rights as men have? That too was the social norm.
And last, imagine if gay people weren't fighting for marriage equality, then nothing would change? that IS the social norm atm.
I applaud Madonna for pushing these boundaries and showing people how bigoted people really are in this day and age, hating on a woman just because she's not acting 'her age', plain dumb.
