July 11, 2012 2:55 PM ETFlorence and the Machine have been forced to cancel two festival dates for this week, Benicassim in Spain on July 12th and Optimus Alive in Portugal on July 14th. Florence Welch made the announcement on Twitter today, revealing that she has lost her voice.
Given that she has been doing around two festivals a week for at least the last month, can't say I am surprised she finally lost her voice. Hope for a complete and speedy recovery (and that she gets a vocal coach to learn ways to minimize voice strain)
