I want him to win but I'm pretty sure it will be Gotye.

Yep, Arrested Development. If you want to count Lauryn, then her.

The Grammys have a nice history with Fiona, so I think she can get a nomination, too. Maybe even Drake and Florence, since both were nominated for BNA.

The Grammys have ignored older established acts like Bruce recently, so they'll probably overlook WB.
Fiona could be nominated, but that wouldn't really affect Frank.
Florence probably won't be -- Ceremonials doesn't justify it and she isn't as hyped as she once was.
Drake could be nominated and block Frank as the resident hip-hop/RnB artist.

Florence would be lucky to get a nomination. Her buzz faded long ago. The BRP hasn't been kind to veterans in recent years, so I have my doubts that Bruce will be even a factor. Fiona has never been a Grammy favorite, and even if she manages to get a nomination, I don't see why she would affect Frank - an R&B act - from getting in. And who else is there?
Frank has gotten an overwhelmingly positive reaction just in the last few months of eligibility. He could definitely be a factor in AOTY, but that's if he keeps momentum going. I'm sure Def Jam is drooling over all this hype he is getting.

The Grammys like awarding people they nominated for BNA. It makes them feel good about themselves. Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Adele, Mumford and Sons, etc. Maybe not AOTY, but I could see SOTY -- maybe even an ROTY nomination.
Fiona has been nominated multiple times. It's her time to shine. Plus it's the most acclaimed album of 2012 so far, so. She's been nominated for BNA, too.
I don't think the Grammys have ever properly awarded Bruce. I could see them making up for that.

Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Adele and Mumford & Sons were all very successful. The BRP loves nominating Best New Artist nominees and winners who do something major after their Grammy nominations and wins.

There has been no mixed or negative reviews so far. Multiple publications have given him 5 stars. I'm suspecting an 83-85 on Metacritic.
|
I don't know. Singer-songwriter, success story, decent sales, massive, smash single that's actually good, etc... He just seems like someone they would gravitate towards.
I like Frank and I'm love for him to get some love at the Grammys, but he just doesn't strike me as a favorite for them.

Mumford and Sons really isn't that successful. Ceremonials has sold about the same as Sigh No More, I think. I could see them nominating her just like they did with them.

For a folk-rock band, Mumford & Sons are extremely successful and known.

No. Sigh No More has gone on to sell over 2.3 million copies in the U.S. alone and produced two platinum-selling singles. That's more than the success of Florence's two albums combined.

And for an indie-rock band, Florence and the Machine are extremely successful and known.

I'm not denying that. I'm denying your claim that Mumford & Sons aren't that successful.

Ceremonials has done better internationally, and I think is at 2ish million sales worldwide.

But they are.
Name some rock bands who have sold over 2M copies in the last two years.
Also,
119 50 61 29 * MUMFORD & SONS SIGH NO MORE 12961 69 7659 2321013
and
105 153 129 61 * FLORENCE + THE MACHINE LUNGS 6908 72 4020 1030161
35 79 79 77 FLORENCE + THE MACHINE CEREMONIALS 5443 -6 5787 654782
Just sayin'
And international success doesn't matter here. This is a U.S. award show.
