Actually Mexico is one of the 15 most important markets in music.
"Hold it against me" was certified gold with
30K.
that is actually bigger than most gold certifications for singles on a bunch of european countries... for example, "Hold it against me" was certified 2x platinum in Sweden for 40K , and "TTWE" was certified Gold in italy for 10K (being Italy an important market for music). So actually there are good sales in Mexico.
and albums sales in Mexico aren't that low either.... Gold albums are certified with 30K and platinum albums with 60K .... that is comparable to Spain, and Australia, tie with Italy, superior than Sweden and almost the same of Canada.
