Lily Allen has reported a man claiming to be a serving soldier for sending her a racially abusive message on Twitter.
The row started after a Twitter user, who claimed in his profile to be a sniper in the Army, told the singer he had "just seen you bought s*** I meant adopted a child from Africa".
Allen, who is a regular tweeter under her married name @lilyrosecooper and reported to be expecting her second child, reported the comment to the Ministry of Defence, which has led to an investigation.
An Army spokesman said: "Racism of any kind is completely unacceptable and the Army has a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of harassment and discrimination.
"We are aware of the alleged offensive comments and are investigating the matter. It would be inappropriate to comment further while this is ongoing."
So did he get discharged or are they investigating and trying to figure out who he is?

He prolly deleted the tweet and his account. Anyway it doesn't say in the article, but the people and other soldiers she's RTing are bashing her and saying that the officials have discharge him.

Yeah I found the Twitter but it's gone now. Lol I can't believe this guy actually has supporters and i love how people have found two black guys that he's talked to on Twitter and are using them to say he's not racist.

You don't get discharged this easy. It takes way more than just a racist joke (unless it has to do with Muslims due to the war; and given the fact that he's an alleged sniper) online to get discharged. He'll most likely get some other form of disciple. Of course all cases are not the same and he might be unlucky and have a really anal chain of command that might just drop the whole hammer on him.

I was watching this happen yesterday. The best part was when the soldier retweeted a bunch of tweets bashing her and then said that Lily "misunderstood" him because he forget to add in a comma somewhere.
But I will keep up with this story and see how they deal with. I know for a fact that non-US military branches tend to be much less strict than the US military. In any case, it's still a dumb thing to do because the public now knows about it and is giving the military a bad rep. I'm sure his superiors will have that in mind.

I'm assuming the UK Army works like the US Army so just because top dogs (unless this case goes to a General or Senior full bird Colonel) want a soldier discharged it doesn't mean his immediate superiors will go ahead and discharge him. Paperwork can get lost and forgotten if you know what I mean.

Right, I wouldn't be surprised if he and his superiors have already worked this whole thing out to somehow help him not face any severe discipline.
