Incubus "Dig"
-The first time I listened to "Light Grenades", this immediately became my favorite off the album. Their intentions are obvious in releasing this. Not only is this their best single since "Nice To Know You" (IMO) but it is definitely going to be their biggest hit since "Drive." Yes, I said it!
Sophie Ellis-Bextor "Catch You"
-I've been infatuated with this women since I saw the video to Spiller's "Groovejet" one late night in Europe, back in 2000. Little did I know she would go on to release consistently awesome tracks. This is such a good track that I could see being played here in the states. Easily her most accessible song for we foolish Americans.
The Good, The Bad & The Queen "Kingdom Of Doom"
-The fact that Daman Albarn (the dude from Blur, he has formed some what of a super group) & Danger Mouse have anything to do this with track makes this an incredible piece to listen to. But it's more than that, trust me. Check out "80's Life" & "Herculean."
The Shins "Phantom Limb"
-I just recently got into their material but wow, what a great band! Excellent opening to an album filled with brilliance. Check out "Sleeping Lessons" & "Sea Legs", and/or do like me and buy their album, "Wincing The Night Away", this Tuesday.
Katharine McPhee "Over It"
-I voted for her endlessly and now she's here with a song that has hit written all over it. Her album is in stores on the 30th (along with Lily Allen. Buy it, nasty hoes!!!) and half of it is produced by Danjahandz so you know it'll be hot.
Bloc Party "I Still Remember"
-Whoa, heavy! The subject matter, that is. An excellent song by an excellent (yet underrated, not for long though) group. "Hunting For Witches" & "Song For Clay (Disappear Here)" are even better. You need to check those out.
Jennifer Hudson "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going"
-Now that this is going for adds, it's only right that I include the star of the future in this large post of mine. For the idiotic few of who haven't heard her take on the Jennifer Holliday's Dreamgirls classic...shoot yo' selves!
