I know this has been posted b4 but to be honest i can see Katy going the same way Madonna did back int the 80's going form bubble gum pop to full on to Solid POP classics and a long career. Also she is seen as just and air head and she also has her more Popular (at the moment ) rival Just like M did with cindy lauper oh and yeah she is beautiful and can change looks and not look like a man in drag.
I've yet to see any change, so idk why you're assuming Katy will just randomly bust out a LAP or a ROL. Until then, Katy is more "Paula like," than "Madonna like." And I have no doubt that we'll all be hearing the next California Gurls or Hot 'N Cold next summer.

I don't see Katy as Madonna like at all,and nor do I think she has that much potential.Just because few aspects of their initial days seem similar doesn't mean their career will go in the same direction.

It might be a lot worse from what we've heard from her about next era.She might dress up like a 13 yr old wannabe goth and have lyrics that seem like a sad child's poetry in the name of 'dark' and 'serious' music.I hope it won't be like that though.

What do you think, when did she officially became the queen? Which point in time we should consider as the start of her reign?
It all comes to this new album coming up, if is as dark, serious and personal as she said i could be the start for her. I hope she comes with something Like a prayer or Ray of light.
