The majestic Rihanna closes Barclaycard Wireless Festival 2012!
The first ever female headliner we had at Wireless was P!nk in 2010, and the bar was raised to dizzying heights with her action-packed Funhouse show.
Two years on and Rihanna stepped up to the challenge, putting on was a blinding greatest hits set. Opening with a medley of Only Girl (In The World), Disturbia and S&M, the Wireless crowd were singing along from the very first beat.
You Da One, Birthday, Man Down and Talk That Talk followed, and Wait Your Turn was dedicated to all of Rihanna's London fans.
Rizzle Kicks, Nicola Roberts and boxer David Haye were all spotted in the crowd, singing and dancing along to the Bajan pop princess.
Where Have You Been, What's My Name and a rendition of Run This Town were included. A lack of guest performers (no Kanye, JAY-Z or Drake) wasn't an issue, and Rihanna kept wheeling out heavy hit after heavy hit after heavy hit.
RiRi's Egyptian themed set played host to her live band and energetic troupe of dancers, and the show looked as vibrant and diverse as it sounded.
Take A Bow provided a more chilled out moment, but as soon as that was over, it was straight in to Cheers, Watch And Learn, and a steamy version of Rude Boy.
By the way, if there was ever any doubt - Rihanna can REALLY sing. For an encore, it was a soaring and stripped back version of Love The Way You Lie, and RiRi showed off more with a pitch-perfect rendition of Umbrella.
For her final number - well, what did you expect? Rihanna sent 65,000 fans mental with a fist-pumping version of her HUGE global hit We Found Love.
It was the perfect end to one of the biggest Wireless Festivals EVER. Rihanna closed the show in spectacular fashion. But don't worry - we'll be back in 2013 and will be pulling out all the stops to make next year even bigger. We better get to work.
