In these days of being #1 with 60.000 sold copies one week, i felt like going back in the day, when an album could reach 1 million first week of it´s release...
and i wonder if anyone knows; which album has sold most 1st week?...i heard that "no strings attched" (n´sync) sold 2,1 million copies first wek(!)....is that true?

And also which album were the latest to sell at least 1 million on it´s first week?

I just know that Britney is the female artist, seeling more in the first week!

BSB Millennium was supposed to sell more than what it did but they literelly ran out of CDs in every store. It took awhile for them to send replenishments. It was even on the news and such... From the reports they said if they didnt ran out Millennium wouldve double its sales or even more.

NSync had an advantage, Jive knew what to do with NSA so they shipped out millions of CDs first week thinking it would copy the success of their rivals.

After seeing Beyonce sell 600 K +... I wouldn't be surprised to see Kelly Clarkson and Mariah this year selling 700 K +, especially with good first singles.
