Because people are ALWAYS delusional on ATRL.
I'm not degrading any of the artists. I gave Beyonce credit to her amazing talent. I've never seen anyone that truly knows about singing/voices ever say that Beyonce is better than Kelly. The only area vocally where I can see Beyonce being somewhat better than Kelly is in melismatic singing. Other than that, Kelly's tone is easily smoother and richer. She's much more versatile, her chest voice is better, head voice is better, power is stronger and her range is far superior. Kelly's lower register is much more developed than Bey's. Beyonce could be a more consistent performer though. I've never seen a shaky performance from her, but sometimes if Kelly's voice is tired I've seen her give an underwhelming performance. But consistency =/= a better vocalist. I think a lot of people here are confusing liking someone's songs and performances for being a better vocalist.
