Katy Perry has taken a rather cryptic pop at certain people on TV talent shows, saying that she finds it "hilarious" when the shows hire outdated judges.
Pop star Katy, 27, appeared as a guest judge on The X Factor back in 2010 - but says she's in no hurry to repeat the experience.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: "People have reached out to me about the possibility of being involved and I think that it's not right for me right now. I have ideas for two or three big, creative things and I want to be able to fulfil those ideas. And it's a real commitment to be on one of those shows.
"I'm not opposed to it. I think some of those shows are better than others. I like to give constructive criticism that hopefully people can apply and find valuable."
And while being careful not to name any names, she was scornful of some of the characters put up as judges on talent shows.
She continued: "I do find it completely hilarious when they hire people that are not current in music and haven't been for a decade or over. Or when they're not even in music.
"How are you going to give a perspective when you haven't even lived it?"
"I do find it completely hilarious when they hire people that are not current in music and haven't been for a decade or over. Or when they're not even in music."
Shading Paula Abdul, Steven Tyler,
and Nicole Scherzinger all in one swoop.
