If you have Leopard or higher, you can use Preview to resize.
Open the file in Preview and then Tools -> Adjust Size.
Select "Fit Into" and choose of the options or select custom numbers (or percentage, if you select that).
If you want it to remain proportional, be sure "Scale Proportionally" is checked!
You can probably adjust Resolution to your liking, with higher being better.
Just go to File -> Save As after you're done.

Nope preview didnt work, I change the size like you told me but when i save it and check it , it is still in it's original size. Imma try Imgur and Readwriteweb

But the animation of your version doesnt include the part I like of the avatar which is madonna in a bra holding a hand to her head like a gun and some goofy effects while she does
click, save as with a new filename just to make sure you can verify it saved, and make sure it's in the correct format.
Your avatar runs just once and then goes back to Madonna forever.
That's exactly the issue Im having with 'Preview' it just gives me the option of 'save a version' it doesn't allow me to save as and choose a new filename
