I personally am not liking it at the moment, but that's probably because I'm not used to it yet. It's just too much for a homepage and not simple. Anyways...Thanks TC for the good work, it will be a while before I get used to it, but overrall you did a good job.
I like it, I think it makes the forum look very much like a news site as well as forum rather than primarily a forum with news. I liked it the other way as well though and I see what you're saying Kevin - I think the top stories column is perhaps abit too wide, if it was smaller it might look more balanced.
Basically, I really like it - the idea and the layout. The 'About Popfusion' section is a nice introduction and this new layout really gives a good overview which might make the difference between new/potential members signing up and staying to look around/engage and those who take a lokk/sign up and then move on. I would just prefer if the right side was slightly thinner. It could be that the line between the left and right is in the middle but the long dark Blue line from the 'P' in the PF logo makes the left side look thinner.
It takes some getting used to, but it's a step in the right direction towards building a more respectable website about pop culture. We have to thank TC for his skill and vision.
