Amanda Bynes had filmed a movie called "Lovewrecked" and it was supposed to be in theatres in the summer of '06, but it kept on getting pushed back. Well now, I guess it has been taken off the release for movie theatres because the Weinstein company sold the rights. Now It is being advertised as an ABC Family Original Movie and will air on ABC Family Sunday January 21st and I read it will be available in mid-march on DVD.

Here's the plot:

Jenny Taylor (Amanda Bynes) is ecstatic when she finds out that her favorite rock star, Jason Masters (Chris Carmack), is a guest at the resort where she is working for the summer.

Jenny and Jason both get thrown off a cruise ship and marooned on a desert island while cruising on a ship one night after a thunderstorm. Delirious about having him all to herself, Jenny hides the fact that they are just a stone's throw away from the resort.

But when Jenny's rival, Alexis Mennetti (Jamie-Lynn Sigler) pretends to be shipwrecked as well and Jenny's plan starts to blow up in her face, it is up to her lifelong friend Ryan (Jonathan Bennett) to pick up the pieces.

That's embarrassing.

The plot sounds absolutely retarded

The plot sucks, and let's not forget that the girl just cannot act whatsoever.

That sounds like a plotline for one of her TV sitcoms more then a Theater movie and a TV-movie combined.

Oh damn, when I heard the plot somewhere, on radio, once. I liked it, too bad its cancelled.

Poor Amanda. To see all those made for tv hilary duff movies in theatres and yet hers are shelved for it. Very sad.
