I can't for the life of me understand why people complain about the $1 albums; it actually makes me want to PAY for music I would never even listen to otherwise...

It DOES count for sales. You can have albums on sale under $3.29 if they are over 4 weeks old.

And I agree. To be honest, no digital album should be higher than $5.99. Not even if it has 18 songs. What a rip off when they price it at the same price (or higher) than a physical album. If artists priced albums at $5.99 rather than $9.99+, album sales would improve. I would buy many more albums.
