Well, the articles doesn't really specify who called the cops. I'm somewhat inclined to believe Katie wouldn't call the cops, simply because she's aware, on some level, of what the church is capable of doing. If she's creating obstacles for Scientology, the church will be more than happy to ramp up their harassment. Katie needs to play it safe, particularly while she's waiting for the divorce to go through/a ruling to be made regarding custody. Tommy's legal team (which will provably consist of church's lawyers) will play dirty, if they feel it's necessary.
It's been a decade since Tom and Nicole divorced. There are reasons she won't answer questions about the church or Tom's involvement in the church. For one, she's a somewhat reserved person and she isn't likely to talk about most personal matters. But her desire for privacy aside, she's probably still terrified of the cult, and knows that she shouldn't bring the church's wrath upon herself.
This is the Scientologists' Fair Game policy. I just did a bit of research Ito Scientology and it sounds like wicked, terrifying organization.
Yes, it is! I did this huuuge essay about them when I was studying religion and I'm not even kidding when I tell you I had nightmares. It is really scary.
UH.....and did the cops not make them leave?? From how I read the story, it just seems like they checked them out, waited a little while and then left. They're obviously well protected, like by the government since you can clearly see them parked at a bus stop, which is obviously illegal and the police didn't make them leave?
