Okay! MJ spoke openly numerous times about other artist. Some of you are really young, so just sit back and listen, and learn before opening your mouths about things before your time.
Anyway, plenty of people dissed Madonna, especially during the early 90s. Because, for one, many people, at the time, didn't understand her overly sexual image. Things then was still very much more conservative than it is now. Madonna was like the bad sheep then and many wrote her off because of her image and rumored, "bad attitude." Her albums wasn't selling too great from her previous, and she was known to be sleeping around with many people. Don't listen to the hype about her always being considered a legend because that wasn't always the case.
If it was left to many people in the early 90s, Madonna was over. So, let Madonna be a an example to some of you children on here that likes to quickly write off other artist for their mishaps, or rumored "bitchy attitudes." None of you know the future.

He did not like how aggressive she was. If she was a man he probably wouldn't have made such a big deal out of it. She wanted him to do the the whole "in the closet" thing as a ironic joke. I don't think she meant any harm.

Calm down. Those tapes with MJ talking about Madonna were private and not released until after he died. That's what I meant. He didn't really diss her publicly. I'm well aware of how hard it was for Madonna in the 90's and how little respect she still gets to this day.
In early 1991, while Michael Jackson was working on his upcoming album 'Dangerous', he wanted to do a duet with Madonna. They met up and he played her a piece of music still in it's early stages, and after he played the song he told her he wanted to call it 'In The Closet'. This intrigued Madonna as she thought the title was very provocative, and she said she liked to deal with issues like this in her songs. So she began presenting idea's to Jackson, one of which was a concept for the music video. Madonna's concept for the video was that Jackson would be dressed as a woman, and she would be dressed as a man. Jackson was a little unsure about this, and asked his sister Janet for advice, and even she agreed it would be a great idea. But ultimately Michael couldn't go through with her concept, and the whole duet eventually fell through. During this time, in early 1991, they were seen on numerous occasions going out on dates, namely to restaurants etc, to discuss idea's for the song. Jackson even attended the 1991 Oscar's with Madonna, where she performed her nominated song 'Sooner Or Later', which went onto win the Oscar! Things apparently soured between her and Jackson when she supposedly made nasty comments about his family. In 1996, Madonna tried to mend their once short lived friendship with Jackson by placing a huge bouquet of flowers on stage for one of his concerts during his HIStory world tour. I don't think Jackson and Madonna have been in contact since then. They've probably crossed paths at various awards shows over the years. Madonna occasionally spoke of her relationshop with Jackson in the 1990s, but she hasn't since. Whether or not they are on speaking terms, who knows? Probably not. This would have been an amazing duet, after all they are the two greatest pop stars of all-time.
