People see music videos the day they are released on VEVO, new videos or songs are posted on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr etc. Music spreads like wildfire online. On radio it is slower and takes more time for a larger portion to hear the song. That's why more and more artists are premiering singles on sites like Soundcloud and VEVO rather than at radio stations.
I do agree that Alexandra's lack of success with this album is partially down to radio not playlisting her, but I also think it's because people haven't been overwhelmed by what they have heard. If she wasn't played on radio, that doesn't mean people haven't heard the song. Many listeners will listen online, some will have seen the music video on music TV channels.

You actually would be suprised about how little the influence is of internet than you think, Radio is still an big factor in a lot of countries, and that is still her main problem in this whole mess.
I mean another example my favourite Nicole Scherzinger had a #1 (DHYB) and 2 #3's (Poison, Right There) with her singles, but radio boycotted her song Wet and also basically did the same with Try With Me, both songs underperformed, while she had a lot of buzz and views of her videos and also on forums and stuff.
Internet is still not so big in people deciding what to buy, ofcourse a group of people use it already to preview their music or even replace the "buyable" factor if we talk about streams like spotify, but it isn't so big that that made Alexandra flop.
Though I also blame Alexandra's label for not trying to get more promo, if it doesn't works to get radio support, you have to grab other things to make the music rise, like I said with Nicole Scherzinger, her label got her some huge promo for Try with Me with atleast made the song peak at #18 in the end, while it would probably have been #30 or less if she would never have done that promo.
