I don't understand what the big issue is. It''s just another singing competition, there's been many of them. Besides, I don't know what he's worried about. I don't know about The Voice USA but the Voice UK had really ****** viewing figures and will never be as popular as X Factor.

It is basically "who comes first" in this case, it did worse in the UK since they still had theXfactor
It does well/good in the US, since it is new and fresh, but still has to fight it's way up because of American Idol, XFactor USA basically came pretty late if he would have introduced it like 2 years ago, XFactor US could have been a big thing.

The mentoring thing isn't even that big of a deal to be talking about it for so long. People tune in for chemistry between judges and for the talent on the show. Simon Cowell is definitely bitter.
