~ A pretty odd Hall of Famer. The only one on this list before retirement was changed from 65 days to 50 [then to 40.] For the record, this didn't even spend enough days on the countdown to retire; it had 56.

~ Neither "Without Me" nor "Cleanin' out My Closet" retired, but this did.
07. Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Dani California"
~ Too bad "Otherside" and "By the Way" never got the attention this one got.
06. Beyoncé, "Naughty Girl"
~ I still don't understand how this managed to retire instead of the 3 singles prior to it.
05. Fort Minor, "Where'd You Go?"
~ Linkin Park could never spend more than a day on the countdown, so this was surprising. Maybe that will change this year[?]
04. Green Day, "Boulevard of Broken Dreams"
~ Very shocking to me, considering this was the underdog during its time. Practically everything on the countdown was pop, and this was somehow holding on.
03. New Found Glory, "All Downhill from Here"
~ What's more shocking is that these guys don't have any other hits on TRL.
02. Madonna, "Hung Up"
~ More disgusting than shocking, I'd say.
01. The Calling, "Wherever You Will Go"
~ This type of rock never does well on TRL. I just cannot believe this band accomplished what they did. Where are they now anyway?

Rock music always nvr do well on TRL but this one did and i'm impressed.

What?.....this video is horrible but still managed to stay strong...wow.Amazing.

I'm actually surprised to see that FOB is having a good streak, firstly they managed to retire Sugar, we're going down, then Dance, Dance without having too much of a trouble, and then A little less 16 candles, a little more touch me, which is a good song but the video is pretty long and weird to be standing all that time, and by now they're doing pretty well with It ain't a scene, it's an arms race
