Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. 4's sales jumped the week Beyonce's pregnancy was announced. It sent a non-single to the Top 20 as well. Her pregnancy was beneficial aside from the fact that she couldn't promote.
It will make her more successful. Adele doesn't really need any promotion, at ALL, to sell albums or singles. I honestly think she could do no promo for her next album and still be massively successful. SFTTR didn't even have a music video and it got to #1 in the US.
Adele isn't a performer. So no. Bey is. Big difference. If Adele does the same promo for her next album, she'll sell 10m WW. Radio did most of the work for her.
Also if Bey performed at the VMAS with no pregnancy and the song went for adds immediately, she'd still have had a big boost. Everyone had a boost from performing, as always.

No she's hardly promoted the album for several months besides big award shows. If any artist can disappear and still sell shitloads its definitely Adele. But her sales are slowing down anyways so any decline will most likely be because its exhausting its market not because she's pregnant. If anything her pregnancy will just keep her in the news more and increase sales.
Its great timing as she was taking a break anyways. Now she'll have lots of positive inspiration for her next album. She couldnt come back with another heartbreak album.
