Carly Rae Jepsen: It's gonna be a pretty crazy summer. I go to New York tomorrow, I'm gonna be shooting the Owl City duet that I'm doing, Good Time. After that, just wrapping up my record, then have it in time for Fall, the album's release, and the Justin tour.
I can see it selling just over a million copies. I don't think it will have mega success. As much as I love Carly, I always feel like there is a time limit on her success. I hope I am so wrong! But if I am wrong, she will probably be an artist I won't want to listen to (Katy, Kesha etc.).
I'm assuming those are U.S. numbers. She'll do at least 120k in the U.S. I think! People are underestimating her. She'll be after releasing too huge singles (Call Me Maybe and Good Time).
People are totally underestimating her success. She's about to have two #1 hits, if not, guaranteed two top ten hits. She's going down the Katy Perry success route. Before the album comes out in the fall, she will have Call Me Maybe, Good Time, and a new Fall single from the album under her belt. It will sell around 200k the first week in the states.

I agree with all of this except with the first week sales. If they manage her career properly I can see her having at least three #1s. The hate towards her is getting annoying. Good for her.
I don't get why everyone is so pressed. It's like no one wants to see her have success. Why wouldn't you want to see a no name Canadian girl make it big? Everyone should be really happy for her that she went from a no name to big star in 2-3 months.
Why are people so severely underestimating her? It's like people think, if you have a successful debut single, you'll never get a hit again
Every major pop star out right now has proven that wrong (Gaga, Ke$ha, Katy, Rihanna, Britney etc), so why is Carly different?
I think a few are pressed that generic bubblegum pop song can go #1 effortlessly, while a lot of the main pop girls struggle to go Top 5. Now that the second single is doing remarkably well already, I feel some are viewing her as a threat.
