Did you mean Android 4.1 vs Apple iOS 6?
iOS 5 is a year old, while Android 4.1 and iOS 6 are brand new.
Either way, I'm getting sick of iOS. The user interface is wonderfully smooth and wonderfully dated. As we all know, the new iPad is the highest rated tablet in existence, but the iPhone is starting to fall behind in terms of iOS' visual appeal. I'll wait to see how Apple changes iOS to adapt to the 4" screen on the upcoming iPhone 5 in the fall, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
To all of you idiots saying your Samsung Galaxy II is better than the iPhone, where are your receipts? The New York Times, LA Times, Engadget, Gizmodo, the Verge, and countless other sites seem to disagree with you. In addition, the Galaxy SII has been the subject of numerous lawsuits between Apple and Samsung because the Galaxy SII and many of Samsung's tablets have been found to violate Apple's patented designs. So yes, it makes complete sense to believe that the all plastic SII is better looking than the steel and glass iPhone in which it poorly attempts to knock-off.
The only Android phones worthy of design praise are: HTC One X, HTC One S, and anything from Sony's new lineup.
The new Samsung Galaxy III is a great phone with a poorly designed, albeit very thin and light, chasis. It's constructed of glass and extremely flimsy and low grade plastic (Example: remove the back of the device and you can bend it until the top and bottom of the cover touch.) The blue version of the phone even has plastic that is treated to look like fake brushed aluminum.
If I were to purchase a phone right now, it would be the HTC One X. I would, of course, root it and restore it to stock Android.
