I really don't get why people are trying to pass blame onto the interviewer..
The question is funny, it's clearly meant in a humorous way because he was laughing etc it was lighthearted. As a journalist you have to have a balance of serious questions and lighthearted. Throughout the interview he did nothing but compliment Bieber saying he was talented and how much he loves his album etc.
Even if he didn't like the question it's unprofessional to say a remark like that and then just hang up when he said his mother was dead. That's the truth no matter how y'all try and sugarcoat it and make excuses. Deal
The interviewer made the question sound so awkward. It was totally out of nowhere. "Oh, so you know One Direction? Are you worried Harry's gonna sleep with your mom?" Like..., what even? I would have hung up to.
But it wasn't out of nowhere. It was brought along because he's mates with 1D. There was a contextual link and Justin...failed to react well. He should've laughed and said...he'd need all the luck in the world or somethin.
But the real gag was him calling one direction kids when they're all older and taller than him.... Get cho life Justin! Bahahaha
And LAWL at him saying he wants to create his own lane when his new stuff either sounds like JT scraps or the dance craze that's taken over radio. I like some of his music but him as a person. -_-
Why does he hate being compared to Justin? He was a BIG music superstar. He should be honored by those comparisons. Like someone else said, he would not survive in the female pop world.
And he needs to stop with the whole "we are both white so I guess that's why people compare us" argument because he did sound like JT with all the falsettos and beats in Boyfriend.
I don't get why he hung up. The interviewer didn't seem so insulted since he chuckled.
THANK YOU! I would've cussed that interviewer the **** out, what he said was most definitely offensive.
A lot of Justin's humor is mean and offensive but people don't care since he's just a "prankster". For example, the time he locked up that tv show producer from CSI in a closet.
